AUTHENTIC ITALIAN BREADSTICKS

INGREDIENTS

1 2/3 cup bread flour
1/2 cup water
1 packet yeast
1 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 pinch salt

STEP 1

Mix water, sugar and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes until frothy

STEP 2

Make the grissini dough

Add flour, herbs, oil and yeast mixture. Knead for 5 minutes until the dough is elastic. 
STEP 3

proof the dough for 40 minutes...

STEP 4

Create 20 long sticks

Add salt and more herbs if you wish. Let them rise in a tray for 20 minutes.
STEP 5

BAKE FOR 15 MINUTE

Temp: 350F/175C
