Strawberry and Black Pepper Gin
How to make a quick and easy strawberry & black pepper Gin Tonic
Taste red and juicy strawberries combined with a tad of black pepper in an exception gin tonic cocktail that just makes sense this summer.
If you are looking for a proper gin tonic that will remind you of the English countryside, then look no further because strawberry and black pepper gin tonic is your cocktail. It's perfect for those hot summer days that call for a little sweetness in your drink. I sometimes like to say that I bring the colours of the sunset in my gin tonic. And the summer sweetness is the inspiration for my fragrant gin tonic.
Have you ever tried combing strawberries with a little cracked black pepper? The sweetness of the strawberries will shine right through. Seriously, try it! And then add this combo to your gin tonic cocktail.
You'll want to use strawberries with a gin that has a strong juniper flavour. Strawberries really marry so well with juniper. Black pepper, on the other hand, makes your gin taste subtle, earthy, perfect. The combo is just perfection in a glass.
You can use a cocktail shaker if you want but I didn't. I just added small bits of strawberries directly into my gin glass. And decorated it with a nice strawberry as well. Because you can never have too much fruit in a cocktail.
How to make the perfect strawberry and black pepper gin tonic
This recipe is so easy, it takes just 5 minutes and a handful of ingredients. You'll need to remove the stalks from the strawberries and cut them into small pieces.
In a cocktail glass, add ice, gin, the strawberry pieces. Pour the tonic of choice (I always use zero tonic with zero sugar) and add a little freshly cracked black pepper.
Decorate with a strawberry on the rim and voila! Your gin tonic is now ready to be enjoyed. I'm sure you are super excited to try it so I can't wait to hear your opinion in the comments section below. Let me know what you think.
